About the Role
We are a global leader in high-speed optical transceiver solutions for AI, cloud data centers, and telecommunications networks. As we continue to innovate next-generation optical technologies, we are growing our IC design team.
As a Senior RFIC Design Engineer, you will design and develop high-performance RF/analog IPs for advanced optical communication systems, contributing to architecture design, circuit implementation, layout optimization, silicon validation, and successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in system requirement discussions, define design specifications, assess technical feasibility, and identify potential design risks.
- Design and develop high-performance RF/analog IP blocks, including CTLE, VGA, TIA, Driver (DRV), FFE, and evaluate different circuit architectures and trade-offs.
- Work closely with layout engineers to optimize floorplanning, routing, and post-layout performance through simulation and design iterations.
- Prepare design documentation and technical reports throughout the development cycle to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Support chip bring-up, silicon validation, and debugging by working with test engineers to develop test plans, analyze measurement results, and resolve silicon issues.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience in RFIC/analog IC design.
- Strong experience in high-speed RFIC/analog circuit design using SiGe and/or CMOS technologies.
- Hands-on experience designing high-bandwidth analog/RF circuits and guiding layout implementation.
- Proven experience with multiple successful tape-outs, chip bring-up, silicon validation, and post-silicon debugging.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing optical communication ICs, particularly optical modulation drivers, optical receiver front-ends, TIA, VGA, wideband drivers, or other high-speed analog IPs.
- Experience with high-speed SerDes or optical transceiver applications is a plus.
