About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will oversee month-end close activities related to revenue operations, ensure accurate revenue reporting, and support compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on revenue accounting experience, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations for revenue-related general ledger accounts, including Deferred Revenue, Deferred Installation Revenue, Unbilled Accounts Receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries related to revenue and balance sheet activities.
- Perform detailed analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet fluctuations and investigate variances where required.
- Execute monthly revenue accounting processes using revenue management systems such as RevPro and Oracle Cloud ERP.
- Validate contractual, billing, and unbilled data to ensure accurate revenue recognition and data integrity across systems.
- Prepare periodic management reports and support financial reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, including revenue sampling, SOX controls testing, and year-end audit documentation.
- Consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources to produce meaningful financial reports.
- Maintain and improve revenue accounting procedures and process documentation.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), bill testing, system enhancements, and issue resolution activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, revenue recognition standards, and internal control requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and minimize revenue leakage.
- Support ad hoc finance projects and other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in revenue accounting.
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP is required.
- Experience with RevPro revenue management tools is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls.
- Public accounting or technical revenue recognition experience will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred but not mandatory.
