Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.

We are looking for a Senior Research Fellow to conduct a project in a multi-disciplinary team. The role will focus on the development of process models, analytical frameworks, perform scenario and sensitivity analyses, and interpret results for research publications and technical reports. The position also requires collaboration with international team members and support project coordination, documentation and dissemination of research outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collection of data from literature and industry
Provide estimations for data not available in literature
Develop and apply process, analytical and geospatial models to evaluate technological systems.
Conduct quantitative analysis, and performance assessments using appropriate modelling tools and datasets
Perform scenario, sensitivity, and uncertainty analyses to support research objectives.
Prepare manuscripts, reports and presentations
Guide and train students and junior lab members
Maintain complete documentation for modelling methods and analysis used
Regular communications with supervisors on progress and report writing
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in chemical engineering or related field
At least 3 years of relevant experiences in process modelling
Good written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in ASPEN-HYSYS and Geographic Information System tools
