Job Description

The Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC) in Duke-NUS Medical School aims to be the premier palliative care research and educational centre in the region. With generous support from the Lien Foundation, strategic collaborations with the National Cancer Centre Singapore and the broader SingHealth institutes within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, LCPC is poised for significant growth in the coming years.

Job Description

We are seeking a full time Research Fellow with expertise and background to engage in palliative care projects that aim to improve the quality of life and care experiences of individuals with serious illnesses and their caregivers. Areas of focus include advance care planning, psychosocial and behavioural interventions, caregiver well-being, and person-centered models of care. The candidate will perform a variety of research activities which include:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate research studies in palliative and end-of-life care
  • Conduct data analysis (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of palliative care interventions for patients and caregivers.
  • Support research grant development.
  • Perform other related or additional duties assigned by the Principal Investigator

Job Requirements

  • PhD Degree in Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or a related health or behavioural science discipline
  • Have at least 3-6 years of postdoctoral research experience.
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Proficient in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
