Looking for Research assistant for MEng student
Research Assistant for Design and fabrication of modifications for commercial specialised lab equipment (Automation).
Responsibilities: -
- Design and fabricate modifications for commercial specialised lab equipment, experience in designing for hardware integration, machining, part selection is required
- Operate specialised lab equipment training will be given - Perform microscopy and nanodevice analysis
- Program and design PLC systems
- Apply Computer Vision for machine hardware feedback and control
- Generate technical reports, white papers, and presentations summarizing results and insights for both internal stakeholders and external publication.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, academic research, and emerging technologies in superconductors and nanofabrication.
Skills required:
- Hands-on experience with automation, hardware integration, machine building - Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion 360/Inventor/etc) for designing equipment modifications and prototypes
- Experience in applying Computer Vision for machine feedback and control
