Senior Regulatory Advocacy Manager
As a Senior Regulatory Advocacy Manager, you will support our regulatory engagement and public policy strategies across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. You will play a critical part in shaping the regulatory environment to support business objectives, ensuring compliance with latest regulations, and building relationships with key government and regulatory stakeholders.
Reporting to: Head T&S Regulatory Advocacy & Science
Work location: Woodlands, Singapore (primary), open to other countries in APAC (secondary)
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse regulatory developments, policy trends, and legislative proposals across main APAC markets (e.g., China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, India, and South Korea).
- Act as a liaison between Global & Regional Regulatory teams and coordinate regional advocacy activities
- Bring the APAC advocacy activity into the global advocacy picture and built together with peers the global advocacy strategy
- Develop regional advocacy strategies that align with global priorities and promote favourable regulatory outcomes.
- Engage with regulators, policymakers, industry associations, and think tanks to represent our position on main issues
- Prepare position papers, and consultation responses on relevant regulatory topics
- Support internal stakeholders by providing strategic guidance on navigating regulatory risks and opportunities, with a emphasis on the APAC region, but also applicable to other regions.
- Represent us in external forums, conferences, and working groups as a recognised voice in advocacy
- Coordinate with global regulatory teams to ensure consistency of messaging and policy understanding.
- Provide quarterly Advocacy newsletter updates and other communication
Main Requirements
- 10+ years experience in global/regional regulatory advocacy
- Experience in the food or flavours industry
- Knowledge/education background in chemistry/food science
