We're assisting a leading global insurance group to expand its Fine Art & Specie team in Singapore and seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to support the growth of its Asian portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an underwriting professional looking to develop their career within the specialist Fine Art, Specie and Jewellers Block market while working within a highly respected international insurance organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio of Jewellers Block, Fine Art & Specie business across Asia.
- Structure bespoke insurance solutions by applying sound underwriting judgement and technical expertise.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing client relationships.
- Monitor premiums, claims performance and profitability, implementing corrective measures where required.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients on insurance and risk management matters.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to develop underwriting best practices and maintain consistency across the portfolio.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Fine Art & Specie business throughout the region.
Requirements
- Strong insurance experience within: Jewellers Block and/or Fine Art & Specie, OR Marine Insurance, OR Treaty Reinsurance
- Thorough understanding of underwriting principles, policy wordings and risk assessment.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance growth and profitability objectives.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently in a regional environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
