JobSummary
We are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Engineer to lead product development and innovation initiatives within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for driving new product development from concept to production, managing R&D projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and product commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of new products from conceptualisation through production implementation
- Manage R&D projects, including project planning, timelines, milestones, risk management, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and production departments
- Conduct technical research, feasibility studies, and engineering analysis to support product innovation initiatives
- Developprototypes and perform testing activities to validate product designs andperformance
- Troubleshoot product and process-related issues and implement effective engineering solutions
- Ensure products comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
- Prepare technical documentation, engineering specifications, validation reports, and related project documentation
- Support product optimisation and cost reduction initiatives
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum5-8 years of experience in R&D, product development, engineering design, orproject management within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Proven project management experience in leading product development or engineering projects from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of product design, prototyping, testing processes, and final product development
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent design tools
