Key Responsibilities:
- Support hardware device integration and validation setup with teams in the smart grid
- Material planning and purchase coordination to meet the schedule for hardware prototype build
- Coordinate with procurement on parts cross-reference to achieve mass production target BOM cost.
- Participate in product development activities such as designing schematics, preparing DFMEA, PCB layout review, prototype validation, and defining test criteria.
- Participate in system integration with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to deliver fully functional products.
- Support product certification and product transfer from the R&D team to the production NPI team.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master of Electrical/Electronic/Power Electronic Engineering
- 5 to 7 years of product development and test experience involving AC line power, high power switch, single-board computer (SBC), or wireless communication.
- 1-3 product development cycle from conceptual to mass production.
- Experience in schematic design/layout using ORCAD/PADS/Altium.
- Experience in communication interfaces/protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/RS485/SPI/I2C/UART) design and wireless connectivity (BT/WIFI, LTE) application is a plus.
- Able to travel overseas.
- Familiar with UL standards will be an added advantage.
- Candidates fluent in both English and Mandarin will be preferred, as they will be required to liaise with our Taiwan counterparts.
