Senior Quantity Surveyor

SPACElogic is a young & dynamic organisation that specialises in interiors, permanent exhibits & displays, signage & environmental graphics and event & exhibition projects. Our key clients include Maybank, DBS, UOB, Restaurant Brands International, Mandai Bird Paradise, ArtScience Museum, Singapore Art Museum, National Gallery Singapore, Science Centre Singapore, and more!

We are looking for a committed and competent professional who can work independently to join us for the following position.

Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Review tender contract requirements

• Review tender scope of works & bills of quantity

• Tender documentation & submission

• Attend tender site show rounds/site briefings

• Conduct site surveys

• Attend tender interviews/clarifications and conduct tender presentations

• Contract documentation, management & other related matters

• Identify discrepancies, missing information & cost risks in tender documents

• Send tender clarifications

• Send invitation to bid/quote to subcontractors/suppliers

• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor/supplier quotations

• Certify contractors progress claims

Exhibition / Thematic Project Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for exhibition fabrication, showcases, graphics, scenic works and interactive installations

• Coordinate with design and production teams to evaluate fabrication methods and materials

• Source quotations from specialist vendors including AV, lighting, graphics and multimedia suppliers

• Monitor fabrication and installation costs for temporary or permanent exhibitions

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering

• Good interpersonal & leadership qualities

• Experience in events/exhibitions/museum/gallery/thematic works projects will be of massive advantage

• Good communication & writing skills

• At least 3 years relevant experience in the Interior industry in Singapore

• Independent, positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility

Skills:

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office application

• Proficient in PlanSwift, Adobe Acrobat

• Proficient in BIM (Bonus)

• Strong interpersonal, communication and copywriting

• Conflict- management and problem-solving abilities

• Interest in the interior / exhibition industry (Bonus)
