Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of quantity surveying duties including procurement, budgeting, cost estimation, contract administration, and measurement of quantities.
  • Evaluate and process variation orders and support cost control efforts throughout project life cycles.
  • Source and assess new subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) and tender documents in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Review and compare subcontractor/supplier quotations, conduct evaluations, and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in procurement meetings and support the preparation of price data and procurement reports.
  • Provide tendering support, especially in pricing exercises and Value Engineering/Cost Down (VECD) proposals.
  • Collaborate with site teams to support contract administration, including main contracts, subcontract management, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Assist the QS Manager in managing all contractual and financial aspects of construction projects to ensure compliance and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying, with site-based experience preferred.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a good understanding of construction processes and contract law.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
