Role of Position
A Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. They oversee cost estimation, budget management, and contract administration to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with contractual obligations. Senior Quantity Surveyors lead project cost control, resolve disputes, and mentor junior surveyors, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the organization.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Claims Processing
Process claims, verifying data accuracy, providing reports and supporting by ensuring timely and accurate payments.
2. Contract Administration and Management
Monitor contract compliance, track milestones, maintain databases and communicate with stakeholder on contract information
3. Contract Preparation, Evaluation, Negotiation and Tendering
Support tendering activities through contract preparation, tasks evaluation, data gathering, information gathering and document preparation for entire tendering process.
4. Payment Response Processing
Process Payment Response, verifying data accuracy, providing reports and supporting by ensuring timely and accurate payments.
5. Technical Presentation
Prepare presentations based on organizational templates and ensure presentations are clear and visually appealing.
Qualification
. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Approximate Years of Experience
. 5-8 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
. Proven expertise in cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
