Senior/ Quantity Surveyor (Main con)

Job Overview:
Responsible for managing all commercial aspects of building projects, including cost estimation, contract administration, and financial control, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender submissions.

• Manage contracts, variations, and claims with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

• Monitor project costs, track progress, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

• Conduct site measurements, cost analysis, and value engineering exercises.

• Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final account settlements.

• Liaise with project teams, clients, and consultants on commercial matters.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support budget planning.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and industry standards.

• Mentor junior QS staff and provide guidance on commercial procedures.

Requirements:

• Background in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.

• Experience in quantity surveying for building projects with a main contractor.

• Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost control, and commercial procedures.

• Proficient in quantity surveying software and MS Office.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
