Civil Engineering/Architecture
Our Client is a leading interior fit-out solutions company. The Senior/Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for end-to-end cost management of interior fit-out projects. This includes both pre and post-contract duties such as cost estimation, tender management, contract administration, progress claims, and final accounts. The role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining commercial competitiveness and profitability.
Responsibilities
Pre-Contract / Tendering
- Manage and coordinate the tender and bidding process, from vendor pre-qualification to submission of competitive proposals.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for interior fit-out works.
- Engage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
Post-Contract / Cost Control
- Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage contract variations, including evaluation, costing, and negotiation.
- Prepare, assess, and certify monthly progress claims for clients.
- Evaluate subcontractors and vendors monthly claims and recommend payments.
- Prepare and finalize final accounts upon project completion.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate closely with project managers, designers, site teams, and external stakeholders.
- For Senior QS level: lead, mentor, and review the work of junior Quantity Surveyors.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or similar
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in interior fit-out projects (commercial/retail/office/hospitality).
- Strong knowledge of fit-out cost structures, subcontractor pricing, and contract administration is a must
- Hands-on experience in tendering, progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
- Detail-oriented, commercially astute, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
(Advantageous)
- For Senior Quantity Surveyor, 1-2 years of experience managing 3 junior QS staff
- Available to join immediately or on short notice
