Job Overview
Responsible for managing project costs, budgets, tendering, procurement and contract matters to ensure projects are completed within budget and achieve good commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates and cash flow projections.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities. (three quote practice)
- Prepare tender documents, BQ and procurement requirements.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate quotations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs, progress and expenditures.
- Manage Variation Orders (VO), claims and progress payments.
- Prepare cost reports and final accounts.
- Work closely with Project, Procurement and Site Teams on cost-related matters.
- Guide and support junior QS team members.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant QS experience.
- Experience in construction, renovation or interior fit-out projects.
- Good knowledge of costing, tendering, procurement and contract administration.
- Good negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
