Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare tender costing, including bills of quantities based on tender documents and drawings, and estimate materials and labour required.
- Evaluate tenders from sub-contractors and suppliers and negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure client requirements are met efficiently.
- Control and monitor all stages of projects within predetermined budgets and expenditures.
- Perform monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs.
- Conduct commercial vetting of sub-contractor tenders and contracts.
- Certify sub-contractor monthly valuations and finalize accounts.
- Monitor and manage all commercial information related to projects, including labour, materials, and sub-contractor cost forecasting, to ensure strict budget adherence.
- Provide all necessary information to Managers and Directors for periodic reviews as required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the electrical construction industry
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to manage complex projects and liaise effectively with stakeholders would be an added advantage
