Our client is a Singapore-based engineering company specialising in critical power protection solutions, electrical engineering, and infrastructure services. The company delivers end-to-end solutions for UPS systems, generators, switchboards, and mission-critical power infrastructure across industries including data centres, semiconductors, healthcare, aviation, government, and industrial sectors.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of engineering and construction projects.
Working Hours
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full spectrum of quantity surveying duties, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and variation claims.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BQ/BOQ) for project tenders.
- Identify contractual risks and provide cost-effective mitigation strategies.
- Source quotations, evaluate subcontractor submissions, and prepare competitive tender pricing.
- Prepare quotations and tender submissions for mechanical and engineering works.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, and commercial reporting.
- Evaluate and certify subcontractors progress claims and payments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong experience in cost management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations.
- Hands-on experience preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BQ/BOQ) is essential.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and industry practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying/cost management software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
