Job Summary
Support project management in interior fit-out works by managing contractual and costing tasks, handling progress claims, coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, preparing drawings, and controlling materials and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Manager and project team with contractual and costing tasks for interior fit-out works in commercial and residential projects
- Manage progress claims, progress payments, variation orders, and final account finalization to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Participate in tender and project meetings to support project planning and execution
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to clarify job specifications, obtain quotations, and compare prices for cost-effective procurement
- Prepare and submit project tender documentation with minimal supervision to meet submission requirements
- Purchase all materials required for projects and tenders, ensuring timely availability
- Create and amend construction and 3D drawings promptly to reflect project changes
- Plan material usage in advance and monitor budget control to optimize resource allocation
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned to support project needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Drafting, or equivalent, with experience in interior renovation fit-out works and landed house construction considered an advantage
- At least 2 years of local working experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D, and related drawing software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure with initiative and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Driving license is an advantage
