Job Summary
Manage and lead the Contracts / Tender, Pre & Post department to ensure successful project delivery by overseeing contractual operations, guiding a team of Quantity Surveyors, and driving cost control and dispute resolution strategies aligned with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and allocate manpower effectively to meet project demands and deadlines across multiple projects.
- Guide and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors to achieve project delivery targets in compliance with project specifications.
- Apply expertise in PSSCOC, REDAS, SIA contractual legislations, and SOP Act to manage contract administration and compliance.
- Initiate and manage notifications related to extension of time, contractual claims, variations, and loss and expense claims to clients.
- Assess and review extension of time, variations, and related claims submitted by subcontractors to ensure accuracy and fairness.
- Resolve project execution disputes collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project progress and relationships.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost control in subcontracting and manage potential variation orders within budget and schedule.
- Advise on contract negotiation terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Review, draft, and prepare Sub-consultancy Agreements for engaging Sub-Consultants in alignment with company policies.
- Support project managers by performing contracts management duties, including tender preparation and evaluation.
- Estimate and formulate construction costs by performing measurements to quantify work and provide detailed budgetary and construction cost reports.
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Senior Quantity Surveying or managerial roles.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Contracts, or Building.
