Job Description

# Salary range: $4,800 - $5,500
# Work Location : Tuas Site
# Work days: 5.5 days
# Office workinghours: 5 days / 44hrs per week

A Geotechnical Solutions Company is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in coastal / marine / nearshore civil engineering, or infrastructure works to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in procurement, as well as pre- and post-contract administration, ensuring that projects are carried out in compliance with Contract requirement and are executed within the approved budget and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cost management throughout the project lifecycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Review tender documents, specification, drawings and contractual conditions.
  • Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks/opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, detailed cost breakdown, including sourcing quotations, evaluating quotations and preparing procurement recommendations.
  • Perform measurement and valuation of work done, including progress claims, variations and settlement of final account with sub-contractors.
  • Prepare contractual correspondence, submit claims notices promptly and in accordance with contractual timetable.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and agree interim payments and final accounts.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual, safety, and quality requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in marine, coastal works or offshore construction projects.
  • Proven track record in coastal, marine, or offshore construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, proficient in measurement, cost and contract administration.
  • Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage tight schedules, and handle dynamic site conditions.
