Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Cost estimating and cost planning.
• Preparation of tender documents (including measurements and Bills of Quantities).
• Assessment of payment claims and preparation of payment certificates for the monthly work done by Contractors.
• Review and evaluate variation and/or extension of time claims by the Contractors and make recommendations to the Client.
• Tender evaluation including preparation of tender evaluation report.
• Assist Contracts Manager and Project Manager in Contract administrations, cost monitoring and finalisation of account.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction, logistics, material management and the ability to provide cost and financial advice.
• Relevant duties as and when assigned by reporting manager.

Qualifications

• Shall have relevant diploma/ degree or certification, and about five (5) years of relevant experience in project costing, procurement strategies and scheduling for used water/water treatment plant projects or infrastructure projects.
• Meticulous, independent, highly motivated, results-oriented and good team player.
• Able to manage stakeholders (Contractors, Client and Consultants).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Able to meet tight deadlines.
• Experienced in Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC) preferred.
