Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements
- Administer contracts in accordance with project requirements and company policies
- Manage contract lifecycle from tender stage through project completion
- Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and project-specific requirements
- Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, legal advisors, and clients
- Develop, implement, and monitor systems for QS, contract, and cost management.
- Review and monitor project costing, including inter-project and inter-company cost/charging concerns.
- Resolve issues encountered by the QS/project team, including client and subcontractor cost and contractual matters.
- Take ownership of project cost and contractual settlements.
- Handle claims, variations, extensions of time and dispute resolution
- Maintain proper documentation and contract records
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Law, or related field
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS, FIDIC)
- Experience handling claims, variations, and contractual disputes
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
