Senior Quality Engineer (QMS)

Your Job

As a Senior Engineer, Quality (QMS), you will ensure that the company obtains and maintains essential third-party accreditations such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. You will be responsible for clearly documenting all company policies, procedures, and work instructions, maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System through audits and risk assessments. Additionally, you will manage the company's compliance resource library and act as the local coordinator for the Product Change Notification (PCN) process. Your role is crucial in striving for excellence by meeting established goals and requirements in line with the company's Quality policy.

Our Team

You will be part of the Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division (DSS) at Molex Singapore, collaborating closely with manufacturing, product development, and quality assurance teams to uphold and exceed quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Closely monitor the performance of key quality indicators and Initiate, Deploy and Implement (IDI) plans or measures to meet the goals set.
• Execute high-level quality strategic plans provided by either oneself, immediate supervisor or higher management.
• Lead team to review, analyze QMS process issues and drive the operations department for improvement.
• Identify relevant Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and ensure personnel receive appropriate training and are assessed as competent to perform tasks.
• Review and update Quality Management System procedures to meet the quality system requirements.Liaise with upstream and downstream processes or MQA/SQA/CQA/AQP engineers on QMS related issues.
• Plan and conduct periodic system audits and participate in customer or supplier audits for compliance.
• Prepare and submit management reports relating to company systems & Process audit and compliance incidents with effective closure.
• Develop good communication and engagement with relevant personnel from PCN submission, customer notification and customer approval process.
• Ensure meeting customer requirement and close the PCN on planned schedule.
• Seek excellence in striving to meet goals and RR&E set upfront in line with Quality policy
• Ensure meeting customer requirements and close the PCN on plan scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or quality systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and quality core tools (SPC, 8D, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP).
• Experience with QMS auditing and statistical tools.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic technical drawing understanding.
• Leadership and supervisory experience.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Certified Internal Auditor qualification.
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) and SAP system.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
