The Procurement Executive is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
Source products from warehouse stock or local suppliers based on Just-in-Time (JIT) procurement and client requirements.
Identify out-of-stock items and source suitable alternatives when required.
Place, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely fulfilment.
Replenish stock at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing terms to achieve cost savings.
Liaise with suppliers, shippers, forwarders, and warehouse teams to coordinate and monitor deliveries.
Manage expiring items effectively to minimize waste and costs.
Resolve supplier issues, delivery delays, and discrepancies promptly.
Review requisitions and technical specifications to ensure correct materials and spare parts are purchased.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company QHSE, Ethics & Compliance policies.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Procurement Manager or Team Leader.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the marine, ship supply, offshore, engineering, F&B, hotel catering, or provisions industry.
Good spoken and written English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
