Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Counselling and Psychotherapy Services

  • Deliver individual, couple, and group counselling/psychotherapy in a competent and ethical manner to support clients mental health, well-being, and quality of life.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and prepare comprehensive assessment reports.
  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans and provide case management support where appropriate.
  • Prepare reports on counselling services, programmes outcomes, and service performance.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, funding proposals and grant applications for counselling services and programmes.
  • Develop, review and update policies, protocols and clinical standards to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of counselling services.
  • Develop close relationship with NCSS and other relevant governmental bodies at all levels and to be responsible for submission of necessary regulatory documentations on timely manner.

2. Develop Counselling and Clinical Services and Programmes

  • Design, enhance, and oversee counselling and clinical programmes for individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Ensure services adhere to agency standards and comply with the professional code of ethics for counsellors/psychologists.
  • Plan, implement and oversee the agency's counselling services and programmes to ensure professional standards, quality assurance and effective care for service users.
  • Execute and participate inhouse mental health programmes to outreach to external stakeholders.
  • Undertake external assignments (if any) on mental wellness talks etc.

3. Maintain Community Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct public education talks and initiatives to raise awareness of mental health issues within the community.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions and case conferences.
  • Support community outreach programmes and events organised by the agency.

4. Support Personnel Training and Development

  • Train, mentor and supervise counsellors and psychologists, and assess their professional development needs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
  • Planning and execution for individual and group supervision.

5. Other Duties

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or agency leadership to support organisational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in clinical or counselling psychology.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in mental health services.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with a recognised professional body (e.gSingapore Psychological Society, Singapore Association for Counselling).
  • Ability to work effectively with clients across diverse demographics and a wide range of mental health issues.
  • Strong intrapersonal qualities, including self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a growth mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
