JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive / Sales Engineer to focus on consultant sales within the HVAC industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to secure product specifications (spec-in) for EC fans in tender documents and build strong relationships with consultants and relevant authorities to drive business growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Specification Sales:
- Promote and secure the specification of EC fans in tender documents for HVAC projects for both new and retrofit on existing buildings.
- Work closely and build good relationships with consultants to ensure our products are included in project designs and specifications.
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with M&E consultants, design firms, and relevant government authorities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for consultants, providing technical support and product knowledge.
- Working closely with marketing team to organize and conduct product presentation through Lunch & Learn on a regular basis.
Market Development:
- Identify new business opportunities within the consultant network and relevant industry stakeholders.
- Working alongside other sales colleagues, monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects to ensure proactive engagement.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical presentations and training to consultants and authorities on EC fan technology and energy efficiency benefits
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of technical documentation.
Sales Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on specification activities, pipeline development, and market feedback.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC industry, preferably in consultant sales
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and energy-efficient technologies (experience with EC fans is an advantage).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
JOB-RELATED SKILLS & PRE-REQUISITES
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation design, and energy efficiency standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, tender documents, and specifications. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) - Advantageous for energy efficiency projects.
- Green Mark Professional (Singapore) - Preferred for projects involving sustainability.
- HVAC-related certifications (e.g., ASHRAE membership, LEED AP) - Added advantage.
