Position Summary

The Senior Project Leader is responsible for the planning, governance and successful execution of complex, strategic and global projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis and Review of Requirements

Analyze project requirements from product management and customers in close collaboration with global development teams, manufacturing plants, engineering, and sales. Ensure feasibility across regions and production sites by evaluating technical, operational, and industrialization aspects early in the project lifecycle, including plant capabilities, capacity constraints, and supply chain implications.

Definition and Coordination of Tasks

Define, structure, and prioritize tasks within the scope of global project objectives across international, cross functional teams. Provide strong technical and functional leadership to virtual, multifunctional, and multicultural teams, ensuring alignment across regions and disciplines. Review deliverables, challenge outcomes, and ensure consistent quality standards across all contributing entities.

Global Project Leadership & Team Management

Lead global project teams across multiple geographies, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance. Ensure effective communication across time zones and cultures, resolve conflicts, and develop team capabilities while promoting engagement and ownership.

Coordination and Problem Management

Steer and monitor end to end project execution, including manufacturing- and plant related activities. Identify deviations, bottlenecks, and operational or technical issues across functions and sites, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions while balancing economic, operational, and technical considerations.

Development of Schedules and Timelines

Develop and maintain integrated global project schedules aligned with the Idea to Value Project Management Process. Incorporate key milestones covering development, industrialization, and plant implementation phases, ensuring synchronization across all internal functions, external partners, and production locations.

Manufacturing & Plant Project Execution

Lead and coordinate manufacturing related initiatives including plant ramp ups, capacity expansions, process transfers, and production optimization projects. Ensure readiness of production lines, equipment, and processes through close collaboration with plant management, operations, and engineering teams, driving operational excellence.

Project Documentation and Executive Reporting

Monitor project progress and maintain comprehensive documentation, including global reporting dashboards, KPIs, and decision-making materials. Prepare and present clear, structured updates to steering committees and senior leadership, outlining progress, risks, and actionable recommendations.

Budget and Cost Control

Manage and control global project budgets, including capital expenditures (CAPEX) for plant and manufacturing projects. Track financial performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to ensure cost efficiency and return on investment.

Stakeholder and Partner Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including global customers, suppliers, plant leadership, and executive management. Ensure alignment of expectations and drive effective collaboration across the value chain.

Risk and Compliance Management

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to timelines, costs, quality, and operational readiness, particularly within manufacturing environments. Ensure compliance with corporate standards, industry regulations, and plant specific requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements across projects and manufacturing operations. Promote best practice sharing between regions and plants to increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.

Innovation and Transformation

Foster innovation within project teams and manufacturing environments by supporting digitalization, automation, and new technologies. Contribute to strategic transformation initiatives that enhance competitiveness and long term organizational sustainability.

Job Requirements

. More than 10 years of professional experience in project management, preferably within complex, global, and cross functional environments

. Strongly developed business acumen with the ability to understand and balance strategic, financial, and operational priorities

. Proven ability to manage diversified and complex topics simultaneously in a dynamic environment

. High level of reliability and resilience, including the ability to perform effectively under time pressure

. Strong strategic mindset with demonstrated innovation in thinking and execution

. Result and achievement oriented approach with a clear focus on delivering business value

. Extensive experience in leading and motivating cross functional and international project teams

. Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively and build high performing, engaged project teams

. Analytical, logical, and data driven mindset with strong problem solving capabilities

. Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels

. Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior leaders to drive informed decision making

. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

. Extensive knowledge of IT systems, digital tools, MS Office, and analytical applications, combined with advanced project management expertise

. Solid experience in agile methodologies, transformation initiatives, and change management processes
