Job Summary

Lead and coordinate projects within the banking sector by managing stakeholders, vendors, and business requirements to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, business users, and external vendors to communicate project goals, requirements, and progress, ensuring alignment across all parties
  • Manage and coordinate external vendors to meet performance standards, timelines, and contractual obligations, resolving issues promptly to prevent project delays
  • Collaborate with business users to gather, clarify, and document business requirements, ensuring project scope and deliverables meet business objectives
  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget by managing schedules, resources, and key milestones
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively to address issues and roadblocks in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify challenges and implement creative solutions with the team and stakeholders to maintain project momentum
  • Apply banking domain knowledge to ensure projects comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal best practices
  • Lead project teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive results and ensure project success
  • Analyze project issues and develop practical solutions to overcome challenges effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Over 10 years of project management experience with a proven track record of successful project delivery, preferably in banking or financial services
  • In-depth understanding of banking operations, products, and regulations
  • Strong vendor management skills, including negotiation and third-party relationship management
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to challenges with strong problem-solving capabilities
