Job Summary
Lead and manage all aspects of ACMV/M&E projects including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, quality, and safety to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while mentoring project engineers and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead overall project management covering contractual, budget, resource, design, procurement, construction, quality, and safety aspects to ensure project success
- Develop and maintain project schedules and programs to meet deadlines
- Estimate project costs, establish budgets, and monitor ongoing expenses to control financial performance
- Analyze and track project costs against budget to identify variances and implement corrective actions
- Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variances monthly to senior management
- Manage and control project documentation and contractual correspondence to ensure compliance and clarity
- Verify that all works are executed according to tender specifications and shop drawings to maintain quality standards
- Review schedules regularly to ensure timely execution of project milestones
- Participate in meetings with Main Contractor and Consultants to coordinate project progress and resolve issues
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to support project objectives and satisfaction
- Ensure timely submission of progress claims and receipt of payment certificates to maintain cash flow
- Conduct bi-weekly internal meetings to review project status and address challenges
- Respond to customer and consultant queries with effective solutions to maintain project momentum
- Liaise with Tender and Design Departments on variation works and contractual matters to manage changes
- Identify and mitigate site issues by proposing contingency plans to minimize project disruptions
- Mentor and train Project Engineers to develop their skills and enhance team performance
- Perform any ad hoc duties assigned by superiors to support project and organizational needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline and minimum 10 years of ACMV/M&E working experience
- Strong knowledge of ACMV/M&E design, including CHWP, VRV, and VRF systems
- Proficient in project management methodologies, techniques, and skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
- Strong interpersonal, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills with ability to motivate and manage teams
- Confidence and assertiveness in decision-making and stakeholder interactions
