Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager will oversee projects throughout all stages of the lifecycle, from initiation to completion. This role encompasses managing both business and technology initiatives, guiding project teams, and ensuring that business outcomes are achieved on schedule and within budget. The candidate will drive change, handle stakeholder management, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Define project scope, timelines, Business Case, and budget; secure approval and identify project sponsor.
Integrate PMO frameworks and project planning methodologies.
Ensure governance frameworks are embedded and adhered to throughout the project.
Set and communicate realistic project deliverables and budget with project sponsors.
Manage stakeholder relationships and conduct effective resource planning at project initiation.
Oversee involvement of appropriate project resources, including technology, business unit, and project team members.
Communicate actively and accurately and keep stakeholders informed and enable timely interventions.
Be hands-on and assist project team members as needed.
Lead change through all stages from requirements gathering to implementation.
Track tasks effectively through established reporting processes and inputs from task owners.
Manage issues, risks, dependencies, and constraints with other initiatives.
Provide regular project status reports and updates to key stakeholders.
Adhere to governance standards, highlight issues and risks, and manage project documentation.
Facilitate Steering Committee meetings and ensure documentation is signed off and auditable.
Key Qualifications:
Over 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in financial markets.
Outstanding communication skills in influencing and engaging stakeholders.
Demonstrated capability in resolving issues, achieving successful project results, and aligning with strategic objectives.
Energetic and driven with extensive experience in change management.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and persistent in completing tasks and resolving issues.
Experience managing projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Proven history of delivering projects on schedule and within budget using established project management methodologies.
Expertise in Target Operating Model re-engineering and Change Management.
