Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for projects.
- Administer contracts in accordance with the applicable Conditions of Contract (e.g.PSSCOC)
- Evaluate and certify contractors progress payment claims.
- Assess and recommend Variation Orders (VOs), claims, and contractual entitlements.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and report on cost status.
- Prepare cost reports and cash flow forecasts management and clients.
- Measure completed works and verify quantities on site where required.
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalise Final Accounts with contractors and consultants.
- Review contractors quotations and verify the reasonableness of rates and prices.
- Attend site meetings, technical meetings, and progress meetings with consultants, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Maintain proper records of contractual correspondence, cost documentation, and project files.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Provide contractual advice to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, procurement policies, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Possess relevant Diploma in Building / Quantity Surveying / Project & Facilities Managements or other relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects
- Candidates with more than 8 years of relevant experience and proven leadership capabilities may be considered for the QSM.
- Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage
