About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Solar & Battery to manage, plan, coordinate, and lead solar PV and battery energy storage system projects from planning stage to completion.

The ideal candidate must be able to handle project schedules, site coordination, manpower planning, subcontractor management, technical coordination, authority submission support, testing and commissioning, and project handover.

This role is suitable for someone with strong leadership, good problem-solving ability, and the capability to drive project progress while ensuring safety, quality, timeline, and cost control.

Occasional overseas travel may be required for project or business-related assignments.

Key Responsibilities

. Key Lead and manage solar PV and battery energy storage system projects from planning to completion.

. Prepare and monitor project schedules, work programmes, manpower plans, and project timelines.

. Plan project lead time, material delivery schedule, installation sequence, testing schedule, and handover timeline.

. Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, LEW, PE, internal teams, and site personnel.

. Review project drawings, technical documents, method statements, risk assessments, and project specifications.

. Supervise site installation works to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.

. Lead site meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, and internal project reviews.

. Monitor project progress, identify delays or site issues, and propose practical solutions.

. Ensure proper documentation, including progress reports, site photos, inspection records, testing reports, and handover documents.

Support procurement planning by coordinating material requirements, delivery schedules, and technical specifications.

. Assist in testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, inverters, battery systems, switchboards, monitoring systems, and related electrical works.

. Ensure project works comply with relevant Singapore standards, safety regulations, client requirements, and authority requirements.

. Manage subcontractors and site teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.

. Support variation orders, progress claims, project costing, and handover documentation when required.

. Perform other project-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project engineering, construction, electrical works, solar PV, or battery energy storage system projects.

. Experience in solar PV installation, BESS, electrical systems, switchboards, inverters, or renewable energy projects will be an advantage.

. Strong project planning, site coordination, and leadership skills.

. Able to prepare and manage project schedules, manpower planning, and project lead time.

. Able to read and understand technical drawings, single-line diagrams, layout plans, and project specifications.

. Good knowledge of site safety, quality control, testing, commissioning, and project documentation.

. Strong communication skills and able to coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

. Able to work independently, lead a team, and make decisions under pressure.

. Proactive, responsible, hands-on, and result-oriented.

. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage fast-moving project requirements.

. Willing to travel overseas occasionally when required.

Preferred Skills

. Knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

. Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and energy management systems.

. Familiar with Singapore electrical standards, safety regulations, and authority submission processes.

. Experience working with LEW, PE, consultants, main contractors, or government-related projects.

. Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, or relevant project management tools.

. Possess Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage.
