Drive and deliver assigned capital projects with zero safety / zero quality incidents and within agreed schedule and authorized budget.
Assist Capital Lead (Projects), Engineering Director and Project Sponsors to achieve site and department objectives through timely delivery of projects in compliance with EHS / Engineering standards, regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Engineering Practice (GEP).
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate project business case (STP - Situation, Target & Proposal including cost / schedule / risk), Project Investment Proposal and Justification Paper.
Lead / coordinate a team of multidisciplinary and multifunctional professionals including engineers, designers, external contractors, safety & GMP professional and user to ensure capital projects delivery from inception to benefit realization
Design a facility that meets user requirements (in terms of facility's operability and maintainability) in accordance with GSK EHS and Engineering standards.
Provide technical specifications of equipment, as well as establish the work scope required for the successful implementation of projects
Track cost and schedule, project milestones to ensure timely and cost effective completion of projects.
Initiate Project Change Management (PCM) forms for any scope changes, assess / record the impact to cost/ schedule and get authorised before proceeding with change implementation.
Administer vendor contracts for outsourced projects and liaise and manage relationship with the contractors to ensure smooth implementation of projects.
Monitor and maintain construction safety of projects on site to ensure compliance with site and regulatory safety requirements. Ensure all execution works are risk assessed and Permit-To-Work obtained before work execution.
Manage and execute capital project implementation in accordance with the Global Project Management Framework (PMF) and GSK Financial Governance throughout the project life cycle
Monitor Plan / actual spend / forecast / Exchange Gain or Loss (EGOL) and initiate necessary Supplementary authorization / Project Funding Extension / Reauthorization proactively.
Key Requirements:
Professional
Degree in Engineering
Min 5 years of experience in project execution, , project management in chemical/pharmaceutical industry
Experience in managing engineering, procurement, and construction Management (EPCM) contractors /third party service (TPS) providers
Knowledge of project controls
