Job responsibilities:
Reports to Head of Engineering Management basis organization and to Project Engineering Manager when assigned to a project role.
Completing all assigned tasks as delegated by the Engineering Manager
Coordination of internal engineering activities and the interdisciplinary interfaces in close coordination with the discipline team leaders
Ensure technical requirements defined in the contract are incorporated in the engineering deliverables.
Managing and facilitating communication across the engineering functions to ensure that the project objectives and needs are met.
Assist the Engineering Manager in compilation of weekly reports and highlight outstanding or hold issues, including areas of concern and review of action items.
Organisation of multidiscipline system/area design reviews
Participate in HAZOP's and other external reviews
Define and request required resources and establish design teams
Interface with other organisational units, including systems administrations
Ensure that vendor information required to progress the work are identified and communicated
Implement project strategies and philosophies
Monitor the execution of the quality assurance program for conformance to project requirements.
Responsible for the administration and follow-up of the deviation/ concession system and Technical Clarifications towards Client
Coordinating with Third Party Suppliers/Service Contractors
Responsible for ensuring identification, decision making and implementation of all changes to the design, including necessary changes arising from design development and site queries
Coordinate with engineering team to identify risks and opportunities, evaluate the consequences and register them in the Risk Database. Follow up on and ensure closure of mitigation actions.
Arrange lessons learnt workshops for the FEED and Execute phases with engineering. Follow up with discipline leads that relevant lessons learnt are implemented in the design
Maintain a positive and safe working environment at work location
Work experience requirements:
Must have a minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience having worked in an multi-disciplinary engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (Fixed and Floating installations) having served in the capacity of a Senior Project Engineer
Must have an experience with Change/ Interface/ Risk Management
Must have had prior work experience with medium/ large sized brownfield and green field projects in the Oil and Gas sector with similar roles and accountabilities and possess an excellent understanding of project phases, milestones and deliverables.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an equivalent engineering specialisation.
Other skills:
good understanding and knowledge of oil and gas industry
Computer literacy in MS Office
Effective technical communication (verbal and written) skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams and client.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people at all levels.
A self-starter who can work independently, make sound decisions, analyse problems and provide focused solutions.
Strong industry knowledge in an MNC work environment would be an advantage
