Backed by a long history of engineering excellence and project delivery expertise, this organisation is known for delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure, from building developments, highways and rail systems to energy and resource facilities. They are currently looking for a dedicated Senior Project Accountant to join their team for their continued growth plan.

about the job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be the key finance partner to Project Managers, providing financial insights and ensuring the commercial success of large-scale infrastructure projects. You will manage day-to-day accounting across project lifecycles, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, budget control, forecasting, and monthly reporting. You will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure costs stay aligned with progress, advise on financial risks or opportunities, and support project audits and compliance. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, site-based environment where finance meets operations.

Skills and experience required

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or relevant disciplines with professional qualifications.
• Relevant years of experience in project or construction accounting
• Strong knowledge of project costing, WIP, and revenue recognition (percentage of completion method)
• Experience working closely with project or site teams
• Proficient in Excel experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, JD Edwards) preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Able to work independently and adapt in a dynamic project environment
