Job Summary

The Senior Programme Executive leads inclusive, play-based learning and life skills programmes for children and youths with disabilities, ensuring seamless support from early childhood to young adulthood. This role collaborates with caregivers, volunteers, and partners to promote participation. In addition, the role supports workplace inclusion engagement for youths with disabilities and contribute to the day-to-day operations and management of the centre, ensuring programmes and initiatives are delivered smooth and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver inclusive play-based learning and developmental programmes that align with organisational goals and sector best practices, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and youths with disabilities
  • Facilitate inclusive participation of youths with diverse needs in programmes and workplace settings by providing situational guidance in collaboration with caregivers and programme partners
  • Maintain accurate programme documentation, track data, and report outcomes to meet organisational and funding requirements, using analysis to drive continuous programme improvement
  • Serve as a primary contact for parents and caregivers, delivering clear communication and support throughout their engagement with programmes
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and engagement of programme staff, facilitators, and volunteers to ensure effective programme delivery
  • Manage day-to-day centre operations, including administrative tasks and fee-related matters, while maintaining safe and organised sites
  • Engage with community organisations, corporate partners, and stakeholders to support programme outreach and develop diversified offerings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support organisational and programme objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or Degree in a related field with Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) (SDESN) OR relevant degree/diploma with NIEC Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention/Certificate in Autism and Higher Certificate in Autism
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with children and/or youths with diverse needs, including developmental and intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to work on weekends to oversee community programmes (with staggered rest days or time-off-in-lieu provided)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Ability to plan and manage programmes with minimal supervision, and to escalate issues appropriately
  • Sound judgement in working with children, youths, and caregivers in inclusive settings
  • Ability to provide facilitative and situational guidance in non-clinical contexts
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for engagement with caregivers, partners, and internal teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple responsibilities in a small-team environment
  • Professionalism, empathy, and respect when working with individuals with diverse needs
  • Passionate about working with children and youths with disabilities
