Job Description
- Supervise day-to-day activities of production. Provide guidance to ensure that production and quality goals are met and plant rules are enforced.
- Ensure all products are produced within quality guidelines and manufactured as per schedule.
- Identify, recommend and help implement means to improve area's operation, including quality enhancements, safety improvements, employee development, efficiency improvement and cost reductions.
- Co-ordinate with NPI team to ensure First articles are shipped on time
- Prepare and submit all required reports especially production schedule report on a timely basis.
- Need to monitor manufacturing cycle time, ensure the efficiency targets of all production technicians is met
- Need to ensure the Daily/weekly and Monthly O/p targets are met
- Monitor scrap and ensure is within the targets
- Co-ordinate with Buyer/Planners for shortage of materials and production schedules
- Work with Equipment maintenance team in automation projects and ensure daily output of the equipments is met
- Plan for Overtime of production team depending on production schedules
- Co-ordinate with process Engineering team on daily process issue and improvement projects
- Ensure production team is cross trained for optimum use of Technicians
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years experience or related experience preferred
