Senior Product Owner, Smart Mfg & AI

As a Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will report to the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. The team defines, drives and delivers end to end smart manufacturing solution, integrated across functions of the business. The team will investigate applying industry-leading the best methodologies in automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron's product development, business and administrative processes across the company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic and understand gaps and areas of improvement in current Yield Analysis related solutions and ways of working

• Work with Industry 4.0 solution end users to design & define requirements and analyze information related to the adoption of I4.0 and Yield Management System for Smart Manufacturing

• Ensure optimization and standardization of tools and processes leveraging central team business partners to allow solutions to be scaled sustainably across sites

• Develop business case, including impact validation approach, ROI of potential solutions and prioritize & propose projects for implementation

• Lead projects and activities that will require the coordination, support, and management of resources from global development and supporting teams, working with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers

• Provide expert functional and process guidance on system interfaces and capabilities

• Use metrics and performance data to understand opportunities for improvement

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of work experience in Assembly/Test Process Engineering or similar operations functions

• Familiar with Yield Management processes, systems and solutions for high volume and high mix production environment

• Superb interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to effectively lead and present to small and large groups

• Proven ability to work multi-functionally with peers, senior and mid-level management

• Peer leadership and relationship management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Highly organized and ability to remain flexible to the changing business needs

• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.

  
  Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
