Why this role exists
At Banxa and OSL Pay, pricing isn't a static tableit's a live product feature. Because we compete side-by-side with other providers in crypto wallets, our win rate is directly tied to our ability to adjust prices in real-time.
We are moving away from manual strategy and toward an automated, algorithmic pricing engine. We need a hands-on Product Manager to own the logic, the data loops, and the engineering roadmap that allows us to out-maneuver competitors instantly.
What you'll do (The Hands-On Remit)
- Build the Engine: Own the product roadmap for our dynamic pricing systems. You aren't just suggesting prices; you are defining the logic that executes them.
- Algorithmic Logic: Design and iterate on models similar to surge-pricing or yield management to balance conversion vs. margin.
- Competitor Intelligence: Work with Engineering to build automated monitoring tools that ingest competitor rates to trigger real-time adjustments.
- Operational Ownership: Move pricing from one-off decisions to a repeatable, automated capability. You will define the parameters and thresholds the system lives by.
- Experimentation: Run high-cadence A/B tests on fee structures and spreads, using SQL and Python to validate impact on transaction volume.
Who you are
You are a Product Manager or Technical IC who has sat at the intersection of Engineering and Economics. You likely come from a Surge, Yield, or Marketplace Dynamics team.
- 5+ Years Experience: Specifically in Product Management or Pricing Engineering within high-frequency environments (Ride-hailing, Food Delivery, Travel OTA, or E-commerce).
- The Builder Mindset: You've built or heavily optimized a pricing backend. You understand how an algorithm is implemented in production code, even if you aren't the one writing the final PR.
- Data Native: You are dangerous with SQL and Python. You don't wait for a BI report; you query the data yourself to find price elasticity.
- Relevant Pedigree: Experience at firms like Grab, Gojek, Traveloka, Skyscanner, AirAsia, or Foodpanda is highly valued.
What Success Looks Like
- From Manual to Automated: Pricing moves from spreadsheets to a self-optimizing system.
- Win Rate Growth: A measurable increase in Top Choice appearances in partner wallets.
- Technical Scalability: The pricing logic can handle new assets, regions, and payment methods without adding manual headcount.
