MetaComp Pte Ltd is a leading Singapore-based digital payment solution provider, licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution, to provide Digital Payment Token Services and Cross-border Payment Transfers. Operating under a P2B2C (platform-to-business, partners-to-clients) model, MetaComp provides its clients with an integrated end-to-end suite of services, empowering them to confidently enter the digital asset market with much-needed safety, security, and compliance assurance. Together with its parent company, Metaverse Green Exchange Pte. Ltd. (a MAS-licensed CMS holder permitted to carry out, inter alia, brokerage and custody services), MetaComp introduces its suite of services through CAMP (Client Assets Management Platform) which allow businesses to develop and scale their digital asset offerings through various products and/or services such as over-the-counter transactions, fiat payments, digital asset custody and prime brokerage.
Role Overview
The Product Director Payments will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of MetaComp's payments capabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of payment flows, regulatory constraints, and technical systems, combined with hands-on execution.
You will work closely with Engineering, Compliance, Operations, Finance, Sales, and external partners to deliver payment products that are reliable, scalable, and compliant across markets.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Execution
1. Own the end-to-end cross-border payments roadmap, covering collections, payouts, FX, settlement, and reconciliation.
2. Define product strategy while remaining hands-on with PRDs, partner specs, and delivery decisions.
3. Make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, scalability, cost, and compliance in a startup environment.
4. Drive execution across lean, cross-functional teams with strong ownership and accountability.
Global Payment Network Build-out
1. Build and expand global payment rails through integrations with banks, PSPs, and local payment networks.
2. Evaluate, onboard, and manage payment partners across key corridors.
3. Design routing, redundancy, and fallback strategies to ensure reliability and scale.
Cross-Border Payment Capabilities
1. Drive core capabilities including multi-currency collections and payouts, FX models, settlement structures, SLAs, cut-off times, and fees.
2. Continuously optimize success rates, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
Partner & Stakeholder Leadership
1. Act as the primary product owner for external payment partners.
2. Work closely with Engineering, Compliance, Ops, and Finance to deliver end-to-end solutions.
