Job Description

Part of the Global Product Group Organisation, the International Equity Asset Class Product Management team works across the Investments, Global Distribution, and Global Product leadership teams to maximize the breadth and impact of our international equity product suite. The International Equity Asset Class Product Manager is part of a team of ten located across the London and Baltimore offices, reporting to the Head of International Equity Product Management, and responsible for leading product strategy, development, and management across T. Rowe Price's International Equity Division. The Product Manager's key responsibility is conducting market, competitor, and internal analysis to draw out actionable insights to support the team's initiatives in international equity product strategy, development, and management.

Role Summary

TheProduct Manager conducts a wide variety of complex research on market trendsand competitors using internal as well as external databases and resources tobenchmark and report on international equity product strategy, management,development, and positioning. The Product Manager is a key contributor to thedevelopment of the international equity product road map and product healthchecks for individual strategies. The Product Manager conductscompetitive, market, and/or financial analyses to gain breadth and depth ofknowledge in relevant international equity categories, including global,international ex-US, emerging markets, developed region/country and developing region/country.


The role is involved with many ad-hoc projects that have firm-wide impact and frequently interacts with senior professionals in Investments, Global Distribution, Operations and the Global Product Group and requires a high degree of collaboration and well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Whilst the focus is on the international equity product suite, the Product Manager is expected to collaborate with other market research &product managers globally to exchange best practices and to ensure greater leverage and coordination across the enterprise. The team serves as the voice of product for the International Equity Division within the broader Global Product Group.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Conducts product development and enhancement activities for a variety of existing T. Rowe Price international equity products. Applies strong market knowledge and understanding of operational and regulatory constraints. Establishes relationships with operations, technology, risk, compliance, legal, etc., to ensure requirements are met during the product development, enhancement, delivery, strategy, and planning processes.
  • Collaborates with investment, distribution, and product teams to identify the business case for new and existing T. Rowe Price international equity offerings globally. Conducts analyses on client segments, competitive landscape, market and regulatory developments, and industry environment. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of international equity strategies, the marketplace, client needs, and the operational/regulatory environment.
  • Maintains existing international equity road maps and updates and conducts new health checks through data analysis on market/competitor and engagement with many internal stakeholders.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, acting as a point of contact for internal inquiries about various international equity strategies.
  • May provide guidance to more junior associates within Global Product and throughout the organization. Provides high-level assistance and coverage to product directors and serves as backup to other product managers within the team as needed.

SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience
