About the Role
MetaComp is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager – Card Issuance to lead the development and growth of our card issuance products and capabilities. This role will drive end-to-end product strategy, partner integrations, card program management, and customer experience initiatives across physical and virtual card products.
The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in card issuing, payments infrastructure, and fintech product management, with the ability to work cross-functionally across business, operations, compliance, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product strategy and roadmap for card issuance products across consumer and enterprise segments
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation to launch and optimization
- Manage card issuing programs including debit, prepaid, virtual, and corporate card solutions
- Work closely with issuer processors, card schemes, BIN sponsors, and banking partners
- Define and enhance card features including spend controls, tokenization, rewards, FX, limits, and transaction monitoring
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver scalable and secure card products
- Manage integrations with payment networks, processors, and third-party vendors
- Partner with compliance, risk, and operations teams to ensure regulatory and operational readiness
- Analyze customer feedback, transaction data, and market trends to improve product performance
- Develop business cases, product requirements documents, and KPI tracking frameworks
- Support go-to-market planning and commercialisation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
- 5–8+ years of product management experience within payments, fintech, banking, or card issuing environments
- Strong knowledge of card issuance ecosystems including Visa, Mastercard, issuer processing, BIN sponsorship, and payment operations
- Experience managing card products such as prepaid, debit, credit, or virtual cards
- Familiarity with payment rails, transaction flows, authorization, clearing, settlement, and dispute management
- Strong stakeholder management and project execution capabilities
- Experience working with cross-functional technology and operational teams
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, embedded finance, digital assets, or cross-border payments
- Familiarity with API-based card issuance platforms and modern payment infrastructure
- Exposure to regulated financial services environments
- Experience working in high-growth startup or scaling environments
