STUDIO+65 is SPH Media's creative production studio. We develop and produce stories
designed specifically for video - leading from concept through execution across digital, branded,
audio, and multi-platform environments.
Our work spans creative development, end-to-end production, and technical enablement.
Supported by integrated studio facilities and production infrastructure, we operate flexibly across
studio and location-based environments depending on the needs of the story. We partner early
with Newsrooms and business units to shape ideas with intent, ensuring each project is built for
visual storytelling from the first frame.
We are seeking a Producer / Senior Producer to lead and manage productions across
location and studio-based projects. Reporting to the Lead, Production Management - this role
combines creative oversight with strong operational discipline, owning delivery from
development through post, while ensuring production feasibility, budget integrity, and workflow
excellence.
This is a high-accountability role for a producer who can independently own projects end-to-end
- from scoping and budgeting through execution and delivery while maintaining strong
stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Production Ownership:
- Lead productions across video, audio, and branded formats, from briefing and development through post-production and final delivery.
- Translate editorial and commercial briefs into executable production plans, balancing creative ambition with operational feasibility.
- Own timelines, budgets, and resourcing frameworks to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief, and within approved cost parameters.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary production point-of-contact for Newsrooms, Marketing, Corporate teams, and external collaborators.
- Manage talent, guests, contributors, and vendors to ensure professional and seamless production experiences.
- Facilitate alignment across editorial, creative, technical, and post-production teams.
Budgeting, Governance & Reporting
- Develop comprehensive production budgets from first brief, including post-production, contingency, and third-party costs.
- Align budgets with editorial, branded, or business objectives while safeguarding financial discipline.
- Manage budget revisions proactively in response to scope changes, ensuringstakeholder alignment before commitments are made.
Studio & Resource Leadership
- Oversee studio scheduling, crew allocation, and facility utilisation.
- Identify potential resourcing constraints early and propose mitigation strategies.
- Champion efficient production workflows aligned with STUDIO+65's centralised planning and governance model.
Requirements
- Degree in Media, Communications, Film, Broadcast Production, or related discipline.
- 58 years of experience in studio, broadcast, digital, or integrated production environments.
- Proven track record of delivering high-budget projects (Commercial, Narrative, or Unscripted) on time and on budget.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end production workflows, including budgeting, scheduling, post-production management, and vendor negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently while maintaining cross-functional alignment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of current production technologies, camera systems, and post-production workflows (Adobe Creative Suite, Frame.io, etc.).
- Experience within a digital-first or multi-platform media organisation is highly desirable.
- Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and detail-driven with high professional integrity.
- Proficiency in English; additional language capability (Chinese, Malay, Tamil) is advantageous.
- Core Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, financial literacy, and the ability to manage high-volume logistics under tight deadlines.
