Are you QS-trained and ready to take your procurement career to the next level My client is looking for a Senior Procurement Executive to lead strategic contracting and tendering activities for major growth projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects, manage supplier relationships, and drive operational excellence in procurement.
Your new role
As a Senior Procurement Executive, you will:
- Develop Contracting Strategies: Create strategies aligned with project scope and market conditions, starting from the investment proposal stage.
- Manage Tendering Processes: Oversee pre-qualification, tender boards, and contract awards for projects up to EUR 5 million.
- Negotiate Contracts & Variation Orders: Ensure optimal terms and compliance with procurement policies.
- Supplier Management: Maintain approved vendor lists, organise site visits, and manage contractor performance.
- Contract Administration: Implement and monitor procurement contracts, ensure visibility and compliance, and evaluate contract usage.
- Purchase-to-Pay Execution: Manage P2P steps effectively using ERP systems to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Project & Category Strategy Development: Conduct internal and external analyses to define strategies that optimise cost, efficiency, and risk.
- Budget & Spend Analysis:Execute annual procurement plans, perform spend and process improvement analyses, and align initiatives with stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:Review procurement policies and propose enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Performance Measurement:Track KPIs such as savings, contractor safety, and P2P cycle times, and recommend improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
- QS-trained background is essential (Quantity Surveying knowledge required).
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, contract management, or supply management.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract law.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
