We are looking for a Senior Procurement Executive / Assistant Manager to join our supply chain operations and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Executive / Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at Lionsbot, a leading robotic company. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales, to drive excellence in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Supply Chain Manager to design and implement sourcing strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce total cost of ownership, and support long-term business objectives.
  • End-to-End Procurement Oversight: Manage procurement activities for custom-engineered plastic and metal components, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyse procurement and supply chain KPIssuch as supplier OTIF, cost variance, and inventory turnoverto identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
  • Supplier Management: Lead sourcing and qualification of suppliers specializing in vacuum-cast and rotomolded plastic parts, as well as sheet metal fabrication and precision-machined metal components. Ensure supplier performance meets quality, compliance, and cost benchmarks through rigorous evaluation and strategic negotiation.
  • Production Alignment: Collaborate with manufacturing and planning teams to synchronize material availability with production schedules, factoring in lead times, tooling readiness, and capacity constraints.
  • Logistics Coordination: Work with logistics providers to optimize inbound and outbound transportation, warehouse utilization, and distribution timelines, minimizing freight costs and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as a key liaison in resolving supply chain disruptions, including supplier quality issues, material shortages, and delivery delays, ensuring minimal impact on production and customer commitments.
  • Supplier Development & Negotiation: Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and negotiate favourable commercial terms, including cost reductions, tooling amortization, and payment conditions.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on commodity trends, process innovations, and regulatory changes in plastics and metals to guide sourcing decisions and mitigate supply risks.
  • Process Standardization: Develop and maintain SOPs and procurement guidelines to ensure consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with ISO and internal quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within the robotics, high-tech, or precision manufacturing sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and supply chain principles, including strategic procurement, supplier development, inventory control, production planning, and logistics coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with plastic and metal component sourcing, including vacuum casting, roto-moulding, sheet metal fabrication, and machined parts.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and procurement tools for RFQs, PO management, and spend analysis.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret cost structures, assess supplier capabilities, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of securing favourable terms and mitigating supply risks.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, finance, and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
