Role Purpose:

We are seeking a motivated Senior Executive to join our dynamic group procurement team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in sourcing and act as the gatekeeper for the company in the domain of governance and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective procurement decisions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and support end-to-end procurement operations which include planning of sourcing strategy (RFQ/RFP/Tender), price and contracts negotiation and contracts management.
  • Ensure full compliance in policies and processes relating to procurement and contracts.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review all requests meticulously to ensure they are in-line with commercial requirements.
  • Actively pursue and identify area of savings to reduce operation cost.
  • Support various business units and work closely with different levels for timely renewal.
  • Evaluate supplier performance which includes price competitiveness and support level.
  • Responsible for providing professional procurement advice and administrative support to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in problem resolution in procurement operation related matters.
  • Build, maintain and deepen the working relationship with new and existing vendors.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary.
  • Source and evaluate new vendors whenever required.
  • Involve in audit exercise.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Education Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field

Working Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience working in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in the IT field

Skills Required

Must-have skills

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can-do attitude with good interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders

Preferable skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software (SAP-B1)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
