Procurement Manager – Data Center Infrastructure

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier relationships, and ensure the efficient acquisition of equipment and services critical to our infrastructure projects.

Position Summary

The Procurement Manager will lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities across data center and technology infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost optimization initiatives, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess strong procurement expertise within data center infrastructure, excellent commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, project management, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and project requirements.
  • Conduct supplier market assessments, sourcing activities, and competitive bidding processes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, technology developments, and supply chain risks to support procurement decisions.

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Cost Optimization & Commercial Management

  • Lead cost reduction and value-engineering initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
  • Analyze procurement spending and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities through accurate procurement planning.
  • Ensure procurement decisions align with financial objectives and project budgets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, operations, project management, and R&D teams to understand technical requirements and project timelines.
  • Support new infrastructure projects by identifying suitable suppliers and providing cost and sourcing recommendations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage procurement demand planning and project execution.

Procurement Operations

  • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, from requisition and sourcing through purchase order issuance and supplier payment coordination.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, purchase orders, and vendor records.
  • Establish and monitor procurement KPIs to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure timely procurement execution to support project schedules and operational needs.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for supplier disruptions, market volatility, and supply chain challenges.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and procurement governance initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical sourcing and supplier management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience within data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, technology infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Proven experience sourcing data center-related commodities such as:
  • Servers and compute infrastructure
  • GPUs and AI hardware
  • Storage systems
  • Server racks and enclosures
  • Power distribution equipment
  • Cooling systems and thermal management solutions
  • Network infrastructure equipment

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation capabilities.
  • Excellent supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel for supplier visits, project support, and business requirements when necessary.
  • Comfortable working across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or data center deployment projects is highly preferred.
