Job Summary:
The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing and executing procurement activities for offshore oil and gas projects, particularly FPSO units. This includes handling procurement packages, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with project schedules and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management
- Lead procurement processes for FPSO and offshore platform projects.
- Prepare RFQs, conduct bid evaluations, issue POs, and manage contracts.
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Handle procurement of long-lead items and critical packages (e.g., topside modules, subsea equipment, E&I systems, rotating machinery).
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Identify and onboard qualified vendors with offshore/FPSO experience.
- Conduct pre-award and post-award meetings, clarifications, and kick-off sessions.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure compliance and performance.
Commercial Negotiations
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial aspects.
- Ensure procurement decisions align with company interests and risk mitigation strategies.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain real-time procurement status reports.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal and external standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with design, QHSE, and third-party certification bodies.
- Resolve technical and compliance issues collaboratively.
Import/Export Coordination
- Work with logistics and customs to manage import/export issues.
- Ensure timely clearance and delivery of materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience in the oil & gas sector.
- Proven experience with at least 3 large-scale offshore or FPSO projects.
- Familiarity with Middle East projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel overseas for extended periods.
