Senior Process Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Integration expert to lead the development and optimization of Indium Phosphide (InP)-based Edge Emitting Lasers (EELs). This is a critical role bridging design and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring cutting-edge optoelectronic devices achieve world-class yield, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the end-to-end process integration for InP-based EELs (FP, DFB, DBR), from development through high-volume manufacturing
• Enhance yield, reliability, and electro-optical performance using SPC, DOE, and data-driven optimization techniques
• Diagnose and resolve process integration challenges across multiple fabrication modules
• Partner with Epitaxy (MOCVD) and Design teams to ensure robust regrowth interfaces and seamless design-to-fab execution
• Lead and oversee critical fabrication processes including etching (ICP/RIE), dielectric deposition (PECVD/ALD), and metallization
• Drive failure analysis and root cause investigations using advanced characterization tools (SEM, TEM, FIB) to enable continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in III-V semiconductor process integration
• Strong expertise in III-V materials systems (InP, GaAs, InGaAsP)
• Solid understanding of semiconductor laser physics and device performance drivers
• Proven experience in cleanroom fabrication processes (photolithography, etching, thin films)
• Ability to analyze and correlate device characterization data with process conditions
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python)
• A structured, analytical problem-solver with a passion for tackling complex integration challenges
