We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support and drive facilities, utilities, and engineering initiatives within a pharmaceutical setting. This is an opportunity to work on critical engineering systems, project execution, validation, and continuous improvement while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead and support facilities, utilities, and engineering modification projects from initial planning through execution, commissioning, and completion.
- Develop, manage, and track project schedules, Gantt charts, and timelines using Microsoft Project.
- Prepare and maintain User Requirement Specifications (URS), change controls, technical documentation, and other engineering records.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
- Support engineering systems including HVAC, clean gases, liquid nitrogen, gas delivery systems, instrumentation, and facility sensors.
- Review and coordinate technical drawings such as P&IDs, HVAC airflow diagrams, and architectural layouts.
- Support modification and construction activities involving cleanrooms, warehouses, utility areas, and mechanical spaces.
- Coordinate qualification and validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, where applicable.
- Support equipment and facility changes through Management of Change (MoC), QTO, and maintenance planning.
- Utilise SAP for equipment records, Function Location (FLOC), maintenance plans, and work orders.
- Investigate engineering and operational issues, support troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure engineering activities are carried out in accordance with GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to drive projects towards successful and timely completion.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant engineering experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in facilities, utilities, process engineering, or project engineering.
- Good knowledge of GMP environments and pharmaceutical engineering practices.
- Experience with project planning, engineering documentation, validation, and change control processes.
- Familiarity with P&IDs, HVAC systems, and technical engineering drawings.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, project coordination, communication, and organisational skills.
